Hollywood megastar Adam Sandler finallt responded to a viral TikTok video that showed him getting turned away from a busy IHOP.
The video, which showed an IHOP employee reacting to the discovery that she unknowingly told a masked Sandler he would have to wait 30 minutes for a table, was viewed more than 11 million times.
The video spurred discussions about everything, from Sandler's respectful demeanor—mainly his refusal to use his fame to attempt to cut the line—to the multi-millionaire's famously relaxed attire.
In a tweet on Monday, Sandler finally responded to the viral incident by cracking a joke about the restaurant chain's milkshakes.
"For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn't apply to the milkshakes," Sandler said.
Sandler's tweet has already racked up more than 100,000 likes and hundreds of replies from fans, with one saying, "Adam Sandler is a gift that this world doesn’t deserve."
The IHOP employee, who has made several other videos on her viral encounter, has not yet remarked on Sandler's response.
Numerous social media users who claim to have served Sandler as well likewise applauded the actor for being down-to-earth.
